Another incredible away performance at Everton. Luton followed up their away league triumph in October with a brilliant cup victory thanks to winner in the final minute of injury time from Cauley Woodrow. It was only what the Hatters deserved after dominating all areas of the pitch.
Yet again it was a fantastic corner delivery from Alfie Doughty that led to the opening goal late in the first half. The Toffees were gifted an equaliser in the second half when Tim Krul was unfortunate to let Harrison’s weak shot slip under him.
The Town never lie down though and there were further efforts from Elijah and Carlton, and only goalkeeping heroics from Joao Virginia kept Everton in it.
That was until the dramatic final seconds when a corner wasn’t cleared and Cauley stabbed home despite nursing a suspected broken hand from being landed on by James Tarkowski.
A midweek 5th round cup tie in February awaits.
