Luton Town 1 Cardiff 0 – Brown Bullet Budges Bluebirds

Bullet header from Jacob

A pivotal game for the Town ended with a welcome three points. First fifteen minutes it looked like it could be a tough night. The Welsh side passed it around quite nicely. After that, Luton gradually got on top. And in the second half, the Cardiff threat petered out completely.

Two changes for the Town as Brown started instead of Elijah, and Doughty came straight back to replace Moses, with Hashioka moving to right back.

The deciding and only goal came from an Alfie Doughty corner. A great ball into the danger zone where a keeper doesn’t know whether to come or stay on his line. Jacob rose like a salmon and absolutely smashed a header into the roof of the net.

An injury to Alfie late on almost certainly rules him out of the game at Middlesbrough. Elsewhere the injury list looks to be improving. Bell and Mengi made it through another 90 minutes.

Positive vibes then – now time to turn in a decent away performance for once away on Teeside.
