Luton Town 1 Hull City 0 – Hard Fought Three Points

Difficult what to make of this game. For long spells Hull looked the better team. But clearly struggle to score goals. Lots of sideways runs, lots of sideways passes. Not a lot of end product. Although they had chances.

Meanwhile Town were clinical at the big moment. Set pieces were a threat. Four big central defenders in the side helped. Burke at right back. A ball in from a Baptiste corner was miscued by a defender and Mark McGuinness scored his first goal for the Town with a striker’s finish.

There was a similar move in the second half also resulting in the ball being smashed into the Hull net. But the lino thought the ball had gone out.

Town needed Kaminski to make some great saves. The Hull striker glanced a header wide when it seemed easier to score.

There were a couple of injuries. Baptiste went off on 55 minutes, Burke shortly after. With no international breaks now until March, games will come thick and fast.

Be interesting the line-up v Leeds.
