After 71 days Hatters fans are finally able to celebrate a victory thanks to the type of goal we scored a few times last season. A fast breakaway from a Portsmouth corner superbly started and finished by Jordan Clark. To think some fans question his place in the team. If we are to stay up, we need the 100% commitment this fella brings to his every Luton Town appearance.
An impressive home debut from Christ Makosso was also a feature. He showed lightening pace to chase down Jacob Murphy in the first half. And it is a simple fact that with Kal Naismith in the team, Luton just look better organised.
Still plenty to work on. Tougher tests await. Next up it is to the home of the 0-0 specialists Burnley.
But for the first time in a long time those down at the Brache this week can experience that winning feeling, and hopefully the return of the C word to the camp. Confidence.
