QPR completed a third win out of three against Luton this season with a close match in West London where despite an improved performance, it was yet another defeat.
We had a debut from Lamine Fanne who appeared for 75 minutes to be playing behind Carlton Morris in attack. And a surprise recall for Liam Walsh fresh from his two red cards. There was a new formation as Rob reverted to a back four.
A word on the goals. Ball over to the far post saw the giant Frey up against the smaller Walters. Via a run down the arm Frey had an easy finish.
Equaliser a peach of a corner delivery from the impressive Nelson. Rising like a colossus was Mark McGuinness to bury his header.
Just when it looked as though Town were getting on top, a sucker punch. A subtle free kick, no movement from the Town, a ricochet, and then the unluckiest of deflections to leave Kaminski wrong-footed.
Our Belgian stopper had already made two unbelievable saves and went on to prevent a few more.
Final play of the night saw almost a carbon copy of McGuinness bullets for a brace, but this time he powered his header over the bar.
Two points off relegation, as Town now head to Forest in the Cup. Before a home league match with Preston on Saturday 18th January.
